Share-of-Cost Requirements and Other Health Coverage

There are no additional cost-sharing requirements associated with the CMSP Prescription Drug Benefit. For members that have a Share-of-Cost for CMSP benefits, the pharmacy will handle payments in the same way payments have been handled in the past. If members do not have a Share-of-Cost for CMSP benefits, they will not be charged a Share-of-Cost for their prescriptions.

In addition, if a CMSP member has Other Health Coverage that providers coverage for prescription drugs, this coverage will be billed first, before CMSP coverage is billed. CMSP prescription drug coverage is intended to serve as secondary coverage to a CMSP member's Other Health Coverage.
